About the University of Kemetian Sciences (UKS)
UKS was the first educational institution of its kind to stream its classes live, online and in real time. Classes began in March of 2006, with 29 students of NY, NJ, PA, VA, NC, CA, FL, GA, the London UK, Canada and Granada, WI.
With the addition of the Online Institute for Self-Mastery in 2011, our students now range in age from 7 to 90 years.
During class sessions, students interact with their instructor and classmates via web conferencing. Metaphysical and Naturopathy students also view the lesson live, in Power Point presentation form on their computers, and participate in class via conference call technology.
Our objective is to educate, encourage and be a major positive influence in the lives of all, with a focus on the underserved and indigenous peoples around the globe, as well as to instruct and certify teachers who will forward a legacy of excellence through the coming decades.
Phillip Valentine HsD, ND, MpD
Hygienic Scientist; Naturopath; Metaphysician;
Clinical Hypnotherapist; Polymath, Lecturer; Free-Thinker…
"The need for a metaphysical frame of mind in problem solving in today's world is greater
than ever. In Metaphysical Psychology, the quintessential fabric of reality is de-crypted, decoded, and deciphered, allowing the student to reconfigure his or her own personal reality construct--and that, most will say is priceless!"
Dr. Valentine is the founder, director and pastor of the Temple of the Healing Spirit; Self-Healing Education Center, The Institute for Self‑Master; and just recently, The University of Kemetian Sciences. A certified member of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (I.A.C.T.), he received his doctorate in Hygienic Health Science and Classical Naturopathy from The Life Science Institute of Texas, now merged to the Fit for Life Sciences Institute-College of Natural Health in Canada. A former member of the American Natural Hygienic Society, Valentine is currently a hygienic science and metaphysical health consultant to doctors and lay practitioners as far away as Azania (South Africa), Canada, Trinidad, Jamaica, England, Ghana, Japan and the Philippines.
For five (5) years, Dr. Valentine served as co‑director of the Heal Thyself Natural Living Education Center in Brooklyn and helped create, format, refine and teach the 21-Day Therapeutic Fasting/Juice Feasting Program — the first of its kind to become widely popular with New York's African American community. He also inspired, co-created and helped develop the now popular “Sacred Woman” philosophy--protocols of life, health and metaphysical well-being for women, which led to the publishing of a wonderful book by the same name.
Dr. Valentine established the former School of Arcane Sciences for advanced studies in metaphysics and the occult, and is best known for his ability to decipher and teach the subtlest principles of metaphysics and its application to health, healing, and everyday life, in ways that may be understood by both the advanced student and the beginner-apprentice.
Brother/Reverend/Doctor Phillip Valentine (aka Senu Djhuti Akhu Ra M·Htp El and ‘Baba Senu’), has been an honorary guest speaker to the United Nations by invitation of the then Pan-African Congress of Azania (South Africa), where he spoke on the future of health for Africans at home and in the Diaspora. He was a committee member and advisor to the Pan‑African Review for Scientific Research and Political Studies, where he served as an honorary health consultant to its membership.

Rkhty Amen Jones PhD
Linguist, Professor of Language
"Our ancestors the Kemites, have preserved for us a way that we can reach back into history and learn to communicate with each other in the same way they did thousands of years ago. Today, more than ever, many people around the globe are showing increasing interest in the "hieroglyphs", not realizing they are studying our Classical African Language, Medu Netcher (Mdu Ntr)."
Dr. Rkhty spent many years as a community activist in Chicago. She attended Chicago City Colleges, The University of Illinois as an undergraduate, Spertus College of Jewish Studies, and then received a full Four-year Fellowship to the University of Chicago, Oriental Institute (This is the leading School of Egyptology in the United States) to study in the PhD program in Egyptology. While in Chicago, she began working with Dr. Jacob Carruthers and others at North Eastern College. A group of them founded the Kemetic Institute, and later founded the Kemetic Temple of Chicago. Rkhty was initiated as a Priestess-Hmt Ntr of the temple. Among the many things that she did at the Kemetic Institute was teaching Mdu Ntr (Egyptian Hieroglyphs), and directing and teaching in the Institutes Adult and Children’s programs.
Dr. Rkhty also taught Egyptian Hieroglyphs at North Eastern College in Chicago for two years. She has been an Instructor of Mdu Ntr now for 25, years teaching privately and hosting workshops on the language and other related topics.
In 1983, Dr. Rkhty spent four months in Senegal West Africa working and visiting with the renowned African historian Dr. Chiek Anta Diop. Later she translated two of his books from French to English. Rkhty was a founding member of The Association for the Study of Classical African Civilizations (ASCAC) in 1983.
In 1985, she moved to New York to teach Hieroglyphs at City College of New York. While in New York Rkhty established ASCAC study groups and was a regular speaker at First World, a community lecture forum in Harlem. She became a popular much-demanded lecturer, being one of a few African American experts on Mdu Ntr language and at that time the only woman lecturing on the subject of Kemet. She has lectured and continues to lecture on a variety of topics relating to ancient Africa and Kemet at Universities and Colleges all over the US and overseas.
Dr. Rkhty has contributed to numerous special programs in the United States with museums and several Universities. In 1988, she founded her own Institute for the study of Mdu Ntr language and history, the Institute of Kemetic Philology.
